Occupational Health and Safety Act (85/1993): Amendment of the submission period of the crystalline silica air monitoring report.
The Minister of Labour has determined that with effect from 1 January 2014 crystalline silica dust air monitoring reports as required in terms of GNR 683, dated 27 June 2008, must be submitted on an annual basis instead of a bi-annual basis.05

Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993): Occupational Health and Hygiene Approved Inspection Authorities: List of basic equipment, list of tertiary institutions for legal knowledge examination and reporting format.
The Chief Inspector has, in terms of section 27(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, approved, with effect from 30 September 2013, the list of basic equipment required, the list of tertiary institutions for legal knowledge examination and the reporting format to be used by the occupational health and hygiene inspection authorities as is detailed in the annexures to this notice.05
