The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to consider the withdrawal of her approval of the Integrated Industry Waste Tyre Management Plan of the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa, published in terms of Regulation 11(4) of the Waste Tyre Regulations, 2009 under GN 988 on 30 November 2012 (“Plan”).19

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has in terms of - Section 56(1) of the NEM:BA, published a list of marine species that are threatened or in need of protection; Section 57(2) of the NEM:BA, published a list of prohibited restricted activities; and Section 57(4)(a) of the NEM:BA, published a list of persons exempted from the prohibition of undertaking restricted activities as provided for in section 57(1) of the NEM:BA.12
