NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT (107/1998): FINAL DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK FOR THE GREATER TAUNG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY
The MEC for the North West Department of Rural, Environmental and Agricultural Development gives notice of her intention to adopt the final Environmental Management Framework for the Greater Taung Local Municipality, under regulation 5(4) read with regulations 3 and 4 of the Environmental Management Framework Regulations of 2010.23

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT: PROTECTED AREAS ACT (57/2003): DECLARATION OF ATTACHED RESPECTIVE LAND PARCELS AS NATURE RESERVES
The MEC for the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism has, in terms of section 23(1) of the NEMA:PAA, declared the following nature reserves as detailed in the schedule to this notice – Turfloop Nature Reserve; Swebeswebe Nature Reserve; Mogol Nature Reserve; Alkantrant Nature Reserve.23

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: WASTE ACT (59/2008): LIST OF PERSONS AUTHORISED IN TERMS OF THE GAUTENG HEALTH CARE WASTE MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS
The MEC for Gauteng Department of Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development has, in terms of regulation 5(4) of the Gauteng Health Care Waste Management Regulations of 2004 (“Regulations”), published a list of persons authorised in terms of the Regulations, and registered on the Gauteng Waste Information Systems database, in the schedule to this notice.23

NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: AIR QUALITY ACT (39/2004): PRIORITY AIR POLLUTANTS AND POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN REGULATIONS
The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 29(1) read with section 29(4) of the NEM:AQA, published a schedule declaring the listed greenhouse gases as priority air pollutants and requires those persons falling into the category specified in the schedule to prepare and submit a pollution prevention plan in respect of such substances to the Minister for approval.23

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 48A(2) and 86(1)(a), (b), (c) and (d) of the NEMA:PAA, given notice of her intention to publish the Regulations for the Management of the Robberg, Betty’s Bay and Goukamma Marine Protected Areas.23

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, in terms of section 22B of the NEM:PAA given notice of her intention to withdraw the existing Robberg, Betty’s Bay and Goukamma Marine Protected Areas and to declare, in terms of section 22A of the NEM:PAA, the Robberg, Betty’s Bay and Goukamma Marine Protected Areas, as set out in the schedules to the relevant notices.23

The Minister of Environmental Affairs has, under sections 44(1)(aC) and 44(1)(b) of the NEMA, published regulations pertaining to the procedure to be followed and the criteria to be considered when determining an appropriate fine for an application submitted in terms of section 24G of the NEMA.23

The Minister of Mineral Resources has, in terms of the MPRDA, given notice of his intention to restrict the granting of any new applications for a prospecting or mineral right, in terms of section 16 and 22 of the Act, and the processing of applications for the renewal of a prospecting or mineral right, in terms of section 18 and 24 of the Act, and the granting of applications made in terms of section 11 of the Act in respect of all provinces.23
