Mathuto obtained her LLB degree from the North-West University (Potchefstroom) in 2019. She then pursued her LLM degree in 2020 at the same institution under the South African Research Chair in Cities, Law and Environmental Sustainability (SARChi CLES), which has sharpened, among other things, her research and scholarly writing skills as well as much-needed soft skills in law. During her LLB studies, Mathuto joined vocational training, worked and attended mentorship programmes at Lawtons Africa and Wright Rose-Innes where she acquired skills on drafting legal documents, conducting legal research and was involved in consultations. In 2019, she successfully participated in the Trial Advocacy Course hosted by the Pretoria Bar of Advocates. Through her success in the latter programme, she was further invited to become part of the Golden Key International Honour Society. She also acquired practical experience and exposure to the broad legal field at the North-West University Law Clinic throughout the final stages of her qualifications. Mathuto is passionate about medical law, professional negligence, personal injury, wills and estates. Her goal is to hone her skills, and gain knowledge and experience in the firm’s various departments.
