Mamello obtained her degree from the University of Pretoria and successfully participated in the Trial Advocacy Course hosted by the Pretoria Bar of Advocates in 2018. She has a keen interest in corporate law, specifically labour law, business law, media law and tax law. During her holiday breaks from 2016 to 2017, she worked at Webber Wentzel, Werksmans Attorneys and Michelle Horn Attorneys where she was responsible for drafting legal documents, doing legal research and attending consultations. In 2017, she worked for the Centre for Human Rights as an assistant under a unit that dealt with Freedom of Expression and it was in this department that she sharpened her legal writing and reading skills. Thereafter, Mamello was elected as the first black female Deputy President of the University of Pretoria Student Representative Council 2017/2018. She was also a Dean’s Merit List candidate in her second year and subsequently invited to be a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. Mamello has taken the initiative to develop her extra-mural skills by taking part in many student leadership structures at the University of Pretoria while completing her degree.
