INSIGHTS

The Umzimvubu Local Municipality has published, in terms of section 156(2) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, read with section 11(3)(m) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, the By-Laws relating to cemeteries, crematoria & funeral undertakers. The By-Law regulates, inter alia, the municipality’s obligation to regulate the establishment and management of cemeteries, burials, re-opening graves and exhumation and funeral undertakers.
