The Chief Albert Luthuli Municipal Council has enacted By-Laws in respect of water services which regulate inter alia, the application, payment and termination of water services; service levels to its customers; conditions for water supply services; water services intermediaries; unauthorised water services; and transitional arrangements in respect of authorised installation work within the municipal area of the aforementioned Municipality and to provide for matters incidental thereto.24

MINERAL AND PETROLEUM RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT ACT (28/2002): RESTRICTION IN TERMS OF SECTION 49(1) OF THE ACT
The Minister of Mineral Resources, having regard to the national interest and the need to promote the sustainable development of the nation's petroleum resources has imposed a restriction under section 49(1) of the Act on the granting of applications for technical co-operation permit, exploration right and production right in terms of sections 76, 79, and 83 of the Act from the date of the Notice until publication of a Notice of Invitation for applications.24
