The Chief Inspect of Mines has, under section 49(6) of the MHSA, and after consultation with the Mine Health & Safety Council, has issued the Guideline for the Compilation of a Mandatory Code of Practice for the Prevention of Flammable Gas Explosions in Mines other than Coal Mines ito the MHSA.21
