Kaamilah Wykes graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a BCom (Law) in 2009 and obtained her LLB in 2011. She was admitted as an attorney on 11 March 2014 and as a conveyancer in September 2021. Kaamilah is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is currently attending a course to obtain her qualification as a certified fraud examiner. She attended a 4 day LEAD Webinar in respect of Deceased Estates in August 2021 and the Gawie Le Roux Conveyancing Practice course in preparation for the Conveyancing Exam in 2019. In 2014 she completed a certificate course in Customs and Excise Taxes at the University of Pretoria. Kaamilah was extensively involved and managed all bond cancellation transactions for all major financial institutions. She also attended to bond registrations for financial institutions.

Her practice mainly consists of general and commercial litigation in the High Court, customs and excise disputes and litigation, insolvency law, administrative law and constitutional law. She has extensive involvement and experience as an attorney on major tax investigations which required large scale document management from documents seized from search and seizure warrants, investigating and identifying role-players and identifying assets to be preserved and executed against. Her participation in Customs Litigation resulted in successful outcomes and principles relating to Customs and Excise.

Kaamilah regularly appears in the High Court of South Africa on behalf of clients for applications, noting of judgments and postponement of matters etc. She has gained tremendous experience in conducting appeals in the Supreme Court of Appeal especially in Customs related matters and has conducted section 65 proceedings in the Magistrates Court as well as cross-examined debtors during these proceedings. Kaamilah has appeared before the Competition Tribunal on behalf of clients. She has experience in launching and or opposing applications for appeal and confirmation proceedings in the Constitutional Court, with success.

In addition, Kaamilah actively assisted with the management of the Wills and Estates department, in addition conducted any necessary litigation for decease estate matters. Her duties including acting as an executor, finalizing liquidation and distribution accounts and finalizing estates or disputes.

She commenced her articles with MacRobert Inc in January 2012 in the Property Law Department, subsequently moving to the Corporate and Commercial Law Division. In 2014, she was appointed as an associate at MacRobert Incorporated and in 2017 as a director in the Corporate Law Division. She has 12 years of relevant (post articles) experience. She has the right of appearance in the High Court and has appeared in the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division. Kaamilah has also appeared in the Constitutional Court.
