The MEC of the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning has, in terms of section 23(1) of the NEMPAA, declared a nature reserve on the farm no. 580, situated in the Cederberg Municipality, Division of Clanwilliam, Western Cape Province, to be known as the "Skimmelberg Nature Reserve".
