Heritage Western Cape has, in terms of section 27(6) of the NHRA, formally protected the archaeological and palaeontological sites, unmarked burials, the landscape and natural features of cultural significance and structures situated on or at portion 57 of farm Blomboschfontein, Hessequa district, known as Blombos Cave and associated archaeological sites, as reflected in the schedule to this notice.
