The MEC for the North West Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development has, in terms of section 28(1)(a)(i) of the NEMPAA, declared the Marico Protected Environment and has, in terms of section 38(2)(b) of the NEMPAA, assigned the management thereof to the Marico River Conservation Association.
