The MEC for Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism has, in terms of section 46(1) of the National Environmental Management: Integrated Coastal Management Act 24 of 2008, published the Eastern Cape Coastal Management Program for general information and implementation. The programme discusses amongst other things, the following:
a) The vision for the Eastern Cape Coast;
b) Guiding principles for the implementation of the management of the Coast; and
c) Norms and Standards for the Coastal Zone.
