The Minister of Environmental Affairs has published for public comment, the draft Dumping at Sea Regulations in terms of sections 83(1)(g), (h), (k) and (r) of the NEM:ICMA, as set out in the schedule to this notice.
The regulations provide for, inter alia, the procedure to follow when applying for a dumping permit; the assessment of and decision on such applications and the procedure regulating emergency dumping at sea.
Members of the public are invited to submit written comments by 30 January 2015.
