The South African Heritage Resources Agency has, in terms of section 27(5) of the NHRA, declared the Great Place at Mqhekezweni on Lot 168; Mqhekezweni, King Sabata Dalinyebo Local Municipality, OR Tambo District Municipality, as a National Heritage Site.
