Draft Conservation of Agricultural Resources Amendment Bill, 2013: Invitation for public comments

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has published the draft Conservation of Agricultural Resources Amendment Bill. Some of the key amendments include – 

  • Updating and addition of definitions;
  • Establishment of Soil Conservation Committees at Metropolitan/District level;
  • Delegation of powers and assignment of duties by the Minister to MECs; and
  • Amendments of the appeal provisions.
