The Matzikama Municipality has, under the provisions of section 156 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, enacted the By-Law pertaining to Streets, Public Places and the Prevention and Suppression of Public Nuisances.
The by-law regulates, inter alia, the prevention and suppression of nuisances in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment in the municipal area.
