The Minister of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries gave notice of the declaration of portion of the Farm Kathu 465, as a Forest Nature Reserve under Section 8(1)(c)(i) of the NFA.
The effect and management of this declaration is in terms of section 10(1) and (11) of the NFA respectively. The contravention of the effect of this declaration is regarded as a second category offence that may result in a person who is found guilty being sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a period up to two years, or to both and the contravention of the management of this declaration is regarded as a third category offence that may result in a person who is found guilty being sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a period of one year, or to both.
