Wands is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She has worked in the firm’s Mining and Environmental Law division since June of 2018. She is passionate about the protection of environmental rights of natural and juristic persons and helping industry to remain environmentally compliant in the face of the commercial opportunity which mining presents. Wands has been involved in the arbitration of mining and construction agreements, administrative appeals and reviews before a Competent Authority, Tribunal, High Court and the SCA, as well as civil and commercial litigation in the lower and superior Courts.
Prior to joining the Mining And Environmental Law division, Wands worked in the Franchise Law, Civil and Commercial Litigation, Deceased Estates And Trust Law And Financial Recoveries departments at MacRobert. Prior to joining MacRobert Wands worked in various industries including Global Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Investment and Media in the capacity of Marketing and Channel strategy management.
