Dear Valued Agent

And it is official……the Real Estate industry got the green light to start operating fully, from 1 June 2020.

Business Operations will be possible under the following regulations and below a short summary of the REBOSA COVID-19 WORKPLACE READINESS GUIDELINES - https://www.rebosa.co.za/rebosa-covid-19-workplace-readiness-guidelines/

  1. Viewing of properties by appointment only, with only one agent
  2. No Showhouse
  3. Business hours are, Monday to Sunday between 09:00 and 19:00.  No viewings outside these hours.
  4. Agents must visibility sanitise their hands and offer to provide sanitiser to clients prior to entering and exiting any property.
  5. Agents and clients will be required to wear fabric face masks at all times.
  6. Meetings with clients should, as far as possible, be conducted via telephone and/or video call & Viewings of a property should, as far as possible, be done virtually.
  7. A physical viewing of the property can be arranged in line with viewing protocols. Refer to REBOSA COVID-19 WORKPLACE READINESS GUIDELINES  Annexure D
  8. Current residents of the property are not allowed to be present inside the property during viewing.  In exceptional situations, the current residents can remain in one section of property.  They also need to sign a consent form prior to viewing by potential clients. Refer to REBOSA Guidelines
  9. Person viewing the property must have received all the safety protocol information and agree to adhere to it.  Refer to REBOSA COVID-19 WORKPLACE READINESS GUIDELINES  Annexure E
  10. Agents must meet clients at the property and not travel together in one vehicle. 
  11. All doors and windows of the property must be opened, prior to the arrival.
  12. No more than two clients may be taken through the property at a time.
  13. Agents and Clients will keep a safe distance of 1.5m from all persons, with no physical contact.
  14. No touching of any surface or object in the property is allowed.
  15. No use of any bathroom facilities in the property is allowed.
  16. Agents have to capture the details of clients who have visited any property in the Company’s database detailing the potential client’s name, surname and contact details, as well as the property address, and time and date of viewing.
  17. The Company must retain all client Health Records and contact details and other relevant information in paper or electronic format. - For your convenience; we have compiled such a screening questionnaire for your seller, potential buyer or tenant which can be completed and send electronically.  Details to complete your Data Base information were also added to this document. Please find it hereto attached.
