Yonela obtained her LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2020. Prior to her LLB, she completed a BA degree, majoring in Law & Psychology at Rhodes University. During her studies, she became involved in her university’s leadership, mentorship and community engagement programs. In her final year of her LLB, she worked as a Student Legal Advisor in the General Unit of the Wits Law Clinic. She has a keen interest in Professional Indemnity Law and Commercial & Civil Litigation but is also looking forward to gaining knowledge and experience in other areas of law. Yonela commenced her Candidate Attorney articles with MacRobert Attorneys in August 2022 and believes her time at MacRobert will, undoubtedly, enhance and refine her professional and personal growth.
