In 2016, the GWF digital learning centres reach more than 5 000 children and adults. One of the programmes that GWF offers is the Open Learning Academy (OLA). The OLA partners with rural primary schools, allowing them to outsource digital, English and mathematics literacy to the GWF digital learning campuses. This programme is made available to children in Grades 4 – 8. In order to manage this programme, GWF needs to train and employ facilitators. All facilitators are selected from the rural areas in which the digital learning centres are located.
