THE NATIONAL WATER ACT (36/1998): PROPOSAL FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SINGLE CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT AGENCY

The Minister of Water and Sanitation has, in terms of section 78(3) of the NWA, proposed the establishment of a single catchment management (CMA) agency, to be named the National Water Resource Management Agency. The boundaries of the single CMA will cover the entire nine Water Management Areas in the country which include all catchments and aquifer boundaries.

Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 60 days from the date of publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 13 February 2018).
